Situated 15 miles outside of Bangor, Maine, on the campus of AcademicU you’ll meet fascinating people, encounter new ideas, and gain an entirely new perspective on education.
When you live on campus, you’ll be close to classes, libraries, recreational and athletic centers, food services, and whatever other resources you need to thrive. There’s so much more to college life than strictly academics, so be sure to explore as many opportunities as you see fit.
Student groups offer undergraduates a way to connect with new people who share similar interests. Our university offers more than 400 on-campus student group organizations for individuals to explore. From the biological honors society to student government bodies and music industry collective, there’s a niche for every student looking to expand their horizons.
Located on the southern side of campus, Tall Pines Rec Center houses two indoor pools, three basketball courts, two weight rooms, and an open-floor fitness center with more than 175 machines. Memberships are free to students enrolled in the university, and club sports and intramural programs are also available.
Throughout AcademicU’s campus, art and nature play simultaneous educational roles, inspiring students to see the world in different ways. A sculpture garden resides on the west side of campus and four public artworks are displayed outside of Birchwood Hall. Near the east side of campus, Juniper Garden invites students to take a break from their studies to observe the sights and sounds of nature.
Free shuttles are available to and from designated drop off spots around campus. Our campus also offers designated bike-friendly lanes as well as paved walking paths. Parking lot permits are available for purchase.
